The Scoping Workshop, held on 22 November 2018, was the first of four workshops that will be used to design a sustainability framework for universities. This will be the second of the four workshops.
Background:
Participants are to think about challenges that prevent their universities from becoming environmentally and financially sustainable.
It is key to understand that there will not be a firmed-up plan of action after the first workshop that was held in Cape Town last year, but rather a much better understanding of the challenge(s) and how to unpack these challenges and “solutionise” in further workshops.
The objective is to arrive at a framework for a master sustainability plan for Higher Education, as per the last panel discussion at the recent HEFMA conference.
Please watch and read about Design Led Thinking (or Design to innovate).
First Workshop
As HEFMA, we realised that many institutions are facing challenges on the above subject.
We invite all institutions to come and share the knowledge and experience for the benefit of our institutions.
Venue: University of Johannesburg (area/space to be confirmed depending on the numbers/responses)
Date: 21 February 2019
Time: 08:15am – 15:00pm
Facilitator/Speaker: Aurecon SA
